My preference character is Professor Anders. Her cheap and fast upgrades make her very versatile. Gremlins allow her to establish vehicle control over Sargent Forge and Hawks with cryo support is one of best arsenals (cheap, fast, strong) in the game.

Seargeant Forge no doubt, the Grizzlies + a counter unit for whatever your opponents use = destroys anything, including Scarabs in seconds.
