    Halo Diehards is looking for gamers willing to practice regularly

    I've fought and clawed my way through defeat and into a passable support slayer. Looking for a team to start training and developing a team dynamic before Halo 4 hits. But not just any players, we need people who are willing to work to better themselves. People who are tired of losing because their team isn't working together. People proficient in callouts and covering each other's backs.

    Yep, good getting some games in, Probee. I'm a little hit and miss online atm: my home is being remodeled and I can't move back in for a few days yet. Will be more active after I get back to norm.

    Now I know that Halo 4 is right around the corner, but that doesn't mean I have weeks left of gaming in Halo:REACH before it drops. Lately, there's been a couple of things perplexing me in regard to:

    a) Grenades
    b) Concussion Rifle
    c) Rockets

    Therefore and forthwith I intend to enter into a custom game with whomever shalt take turns blowing each other up and investigate this conundrum!!

    Specifically, I'd like to see exactly what's up with:

    * frag 'nades killing someone with full health, full shields
    * why a concussion rifle sometimes kills in three shots, sometimes it take many more
    * where do I place a rocket for the best splash damage?

    So if you want to see your friends get blown up, and maybe even learn something, come join me this Thursday, starting at 5pm P/6pm M/7pm C/8pm E

    Might be starting a Monday night "Prepare for Halo 4 - Play Halo 3" regular-type thing. At any rate, tonight I'm launching into the Halo 3 campaign on LIVE, looking for three more players to join me. If it's laggy, we'll just check out an out-of-map I know about towards the beginning and maybe play some matchmaking.

    Anyone interested better message me on LIVE, cause it's starting @ 6pm PT/9pm ET and I might not make it back here before then...BUT if you're interested in getting in some Halo 3, for gawd's sake post a reply!

    Halo Diehards is starting competitive team recruitment for Halo 4!

    as posted at HaloDiehards.net:

    Halo Diehards is starting the competitive team recruitment process for Halo 4!

    Plans for the future include entering leagues and matches against clans that practice regularly, have skilled players, and are quite competent. Make no mistake: this can be a driven, high-stress environment. For this reason, the recruitment process will take applicants through a series of "hoops" to assess if they are a good fit for the team.

    The first hoop applicants will need to successfully navigate is the stats hoop. At this time, applicants must have a BPR of 68 or higher, as well as a positive K/D Ratio in Halo:REACH. You can check your BPR by entering the following url into an address bar, placing your gamertag directly after the equal sign, exactly as it's spelled, including any spaces:

    www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/Career/ServiceRecord?gamertag=

    Assessments will be conducted by Halo Diehard's "Coach Team". Applicants will be asked to go into the field of matchmaking with me in a variety of situations, including gaming with other people and in various gametypes, and films will be reviewed by one or more people on the Coach Team.

    Things we will be looking at include:

    * callouts/communication
    * attitude
    * team awareness
    * positioning
    * responsiveness

    I encourage people to be relaxed and play normally. This process isn't a judgement of your worth as a team player or a hyper-critical process of weeding out dysfunctionals, lol. It's simply a way to look from all angles if someone is a good match for the team. And don't forget: sometimes the worst games can show your best team qualities.

    Interested persons can pm me or respond in this thread. Although I can start the process any time, for now Thursdays are the official day for running potentials through some hoops if we get enough peeps to warrant it.

    One more thing: If you are interested, please make it known - I'm not psychic! (see what I did there? )
