Today's top trending hashtag: #GirlsAreBadAtGaming just ahead of Xbox8 and strangely enough My Little Pony. Upon seeing this many female gamers went straight into challenge mode. On the other hand, many male gamers took just as much offense the trending phrase. When clicking on the tag, rather than seeing what many female gamers often hear in Multi-player Matchmaking, you find tweet after tweet praising highly skilled female gamers and clans that promote and provide positive and safe environments for women in gaming. Several members of the PMS Clan chimed in and PMS Ticorah (PMS Clan Leader) even offered up a challenge.

Organizations such Ubisoft's Fragdolls and PMS Clan have helped pave the way for gamers of the female persuasion for the better part of 10 years. Sites such as our very own Halo Community (HC) and Swords and Shields Gaming (SSG) also offer a comfortable home for females. My HC friends always have my back. There are countless times I have died and in the respawn cam watch the other team begins to share the “crabs in their pants” (my own term for T-bagging). Almost instantly, I hear my HC teammates, “Get off of her!” as the crabby opponent’s face is ripped off. The SSG gamers are also a great group of people to game with. With their site built around the idea of Camelot, Knighthoods, and most importantly...Chivalry. One of their own SSG IrishGirl, has often put me to shame and amazes me how wicked her snipe is.

We can't leave out a few of the individuals who guide us along the way. Goosechecka (the Griball Hub and PMS Clan) who has led several panels at various gaming conventions and instucted us all on "The Sammich"

Mythic Tyrant's Women of Xbox series on Youtube. Waypoint's own Jessica Shea, better known as bs angel, who is prime example that gaming is just for the boys anymore.

While this writer is NOT one of those females that will make you want to rage quit from every match, I do take great pride in knowing I have a great team of gamers from many communities that support me as a member, friend, and gamer.

Well put. I noticed this trending but never really thought much of it. Its sad, but you hear it all the time on XBL and over time I've learned to filter it out; along with most of the other verbal diarrhea coming from the mouths of the Timmies and Randy-Ran-DUMBs. It only goes to show the utter lack of intelligence at work in the mind of those spurting such insults.

This ideal was the driving force behind my search for a clan and what i found instead was a Community. Full of people from many walks of life, backgrounds, nationalities, and YES even genders. Funny I should read this right now, my wife just owned me in four straight duels on Borderlands.

I have played with girls and it is really no different than playing with guys. The only difference is a couple of peeps online that think there is. The only one I can relate to is the wanting to meet a girl gamer and get into a relationship because you have a common interest. But we all know the darker side to that same coin. Ewww, you are a girl, that is hot I will smother you.

In my limited experience of playing with girls online for the most part they have a more calm and collected temperament. That being said I have also met a few who rage like very few others, teabag, and in all and all were just crazy.

I do have a question for all the ladies out there is do you prefer to be called by your name after you have befriend someone on your list or still go by your xbox live tag? Just curious I like going by my tag for reference, until you(girl or guy) buy me a beer.

On an ending note, I love Gooses video's you all should go check them out and don't deflate IrishGirl's ego, she is a ton of fun to play with. Thanks Angry for the awesome, news/post.
