Halo Community and IGL Grifgoose Tournament

I am proud to announce the next tournament hosted by HaloCommunity.com in association with the IGL:

Grifgoose

Friday, June 15th at 6:00 EDT

I was talking to VetteKing and he says he has a new variant of grifball....with a twist! It is called GrifGoose, and it is basically Grifball with a mongoose. Needless to say, I was intrigued. You mean to tell me that I can drive around on a mongoose hit people with a hammer, or better yet hit people riding on a mongoose with a hammer?!? Where do I sign up?

If you don't know VetteKing, he is the founder of the IGL (International Grifball League), and if you don't know what Grifball is....well...just skip to the next article because you have been living under a rock with the Geico caveman.

Protip: even if you don't know what Grifball is, you should keep reading as this will get good.

Grifgoose is a game type in Halo Reach and it’s the IGL’s baby. Grifgoose takes the core gameplay and fun of normal Grifball, and is played on a map with the design of an American Football field. Throw in some gravity hammers, energy swords and give everyone the ability to sprint and drive a mongoose without dropping the objective and you have yourself a game of Grifgoose! Unlike regular grifball, when the bomb is armed in Grifgoose, it respawns back in the center and doesn’t signal a new round. This allows teams to recover straight away with a quick score in retaliation.

Wait! You said it was going to get good! Ok, here goes. Since Halo Community is hosting the tournament here, we are providing a prize of 1600 MSP to each member of the winning team. There is also a sweet player page award for participation in this event.



For the gametype and map search for Vetteking95’s File Share and Select “The Goose Field” and “Grifgoose”
