    Question regarding Recon

    Hey everyone. Sorry for sounding noobish. But I have a question regarding the Recon armor set on Halo 3.

    You know how it is normally unlocked by completing the Vidmaster challenges? Strangely, I unlocked it right after I got the UNSC Spartan Achievement. I want to know if this is a glitch, or if it has something to do with Bungie giving up ownership of Halo. Responses would be appreciated.

    I'm pretty sure this is a glitch in the game as there has been a multiple armor pieces that have been unlocked before their time but they will lock again soon after, so if you truly want to keep it then you should just earn all the vidmasters to make sure you have it without the armor locking up again.

    Pretty much sums it up. However, bungie might have just given it up since they are no longer in control of Halo anymore. I would still try to do the vidmasters anyways.

    343i said they were unlocking recon for everyone

    Part of the final transition for Halo services is unlocking Halo 3 Recon armor for all Halo 3 players. That process, which was started this morning, will take place in waves over the next few days. If Recon isn’t unlocked for you today, please check back later.

    On April 1, we will begin increasing Halo: Reach File Share capacity from 6 slots to 24 slots at no extra charge. This will also take place in waves, and the process is expected to last several days. We thank you in advance for your patience as we work to give this expanded access to all Halo: Reach players.
