It’s almost here. Only 42 days until PAX Prime officially opens the doors in Seattle Washington! You might me asking yourself “So what? I’m not going, so what does that mean to me?” Read on, and you will find out exactly what that means to you!
HaloCommunity.com will be attending PAX Prime in full effect! We have multiple staff members going with the intention of providing you the best Halo 4 coverage possible. We promise to be relentless in our pursuit of tidbits of H4 info, leaks, gameplay, and new game modes.
I will personally be in attendance (@HC_SLIK)and will be uploading both images and video from the convention floor, and typing on my iphone/ipad until my fingers bleed in order to give you the best information as it happens. You will find the best and most up to date coverage right here on HaloCommunity.com (@HALO_COMMUNITY)
Our very own Shocky (@HCSHOCKY), Danni Cherie (@DANNICHERIE), and Night Owl (@HCNIGHTOWL) will all be there as well, and right now is a good time to follow them on twitter as they will be tweeting (and Hooting as the case may be) their experience. We also have a ton of stuff to give out while we are there, so if you find them on the convention floor, make sure to say something along the lines of “Halo Community is awesome” while doing the rain dance, and they may sprinkle you with swag #inclementweather
We will be doing several contests leading up to the event, and even if you are not going :’( you can still participate!
I have always wanted to be a secret agent, and now is the chance! Is there something you are dying to know about Halo 4? Is there a gametype you want to know more about? Let me know here, and I will do my best to bring you the 411. They say that some of the secrets are guarded closely by Frank O’Connor, and I heard he knows his way around a Battle Rifle. Since discretion is the better part of valor, and I want to survive my trip to PAX, I will dig as deep as is safe.
Personally, I badly want to know if there will be a bomb assassination animation, and I intend to find out! Speaking of which, have you seen the new assassination animations yet? These are a great touch, and if you are anything like me there is nothing more gratifying than performing an assassination animation on your enemy in the middle of a heated battle. Especially when he just got done tea-bagging me….
but enough about me…what do YOU want to see?
about PAX Penny Arcade expo:
In 2004, the folks at Penny Arcade decided they wanted a show exclusively for gaming. Sure, comics, anime, and other nerd hobbies were cool, and those activities all had their own shows… so what about games? From that idea spawned a small 4,500 person event in Bellevue, Washington, focused on the culture and community that is gaming.
Since then, the show hasn’t looked back. Doubling in size each year until venue capacities were reached, in 2010 the show expanded into Boston for PAX East, drawing tens of thousands of attendees in the inaugural year. The shows in Seattle and Boston represent the two largest gaming events in North America!
